The Constitution
This free, one-day, field trip for up to 64 students was attended by Middle School and High School students studying civics, government and the Constitution.
What students learned:
This was an opportunity for students to learn about our Constitution and how our government works. Students:
- Experienced Hands-On Activities reflecting struggles gaining our independence
- Learned how our government was formed
- Learned the importance of the three branches of our government
- Learned the significance of John Marshall
- Demonstrated their knowledge in a friendly, yet competitive, game of Constitutional Jeopardy!
- Used laptop computers to create and publish a two-page newsletter including digital pictures from their activities throughout the day
